Organisational Development Programme

Sewa Beats delivers its Organizational Development Programmes in collaboration with its associates and your HR team or training consultants. This mix is the foundation for its tailor-made management programmes and is a critical factor in their relevance and success. The Organizational Development Programme workshops focus on the specific needs of your organization and have proven very effective with leading business schools and companies. They are most effective with teams - be they from top management or the front line.

Sewa Beats leads participants to better understand themselves and their place in the organisation:

  • Freedom to experiment: participants experience the joy of testing their limits and going further than they thought possible.
  • Playing to strengths: working with others from different parts of the organisation, participants learn to cooperate effectively as they create their own music.
  • Stress management: participants gain insights on how to work under pressure, navigate through the stressors and deal with information overload.
  • Personal approach to risk: an organisation needs followers as much as it needs leaders, and when participants are asked to lead the group individual preferences and skills are emphasised.
  • Forging bonds throughout the organisation: the better we understand our own role, the better we can understand the roles of our colleagues and, ultimately, correctly determine the direction of the entire organisation.
  • Active listening and non-verbal communication: African drumming engages the body as well as the mind, encouraging participants to be receptive to a number of sensory cues.

Sewa Beats Organisational Development Programmes are flexible, scaleable and can be run in many different ways, for example:

  • As three or four half-hour sessions throughout the day. Facilitated discussions take place between the Sewa Beats’ sessions in order to extract the learning.
  • As a two-hour session during or after which your HR team debriefs participants on the behaviours and patterns that have evolved.
