SEWA BEATS NEWS

After 10 years of developing, we are delighted to announce the launch of Sewa Beats in North America.

It is a great honour for Sewa Beats that the great Mandingo master drummer and legendary teacher has agreed to become a patron of the company.

Sewa Beats have added to their repertoire a motivational programme of Body Percussion, specially designed for these times of economic turbulence and fewer resources.

Sewa Beats offers ‘an innovative way of developing leadership' - a new way to design and deliver effective executive learning.

The WEF's prestigious Global Leadership Fellows Programme trains future leaders of the world's leading public and private institutions.

Oracle continues to rely on Sewa Beats to open its Oracle Partner Network days.

In February 2008, L'Auditori in Barcelona opened its doors to Sewa Beats and a mega audience of 2,000 people. Each member of the 2,000-strong audience was given a drum, and taken on a magical musical journey, creating a fun-filled piece of music and experiencing the joy and energy of Africa.

This event was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of our sponsor, Natura, and our partner, L'Auditori, who allowed the use of the venue. The money raised was donated to Apadrina, an association that works with theHospital Sant Joan de Déu and has established a brotherhood with the Hospital Lunsar in Sierra Leone.

In February 2007, also in L'Auditori, as part of Catalonia's annual percussion festival, the Sewa Beats team led an audience of 600 people of all ages and turned it into a thumping, 600-strong orchestra. The 9,000 euros raised by this event were used above all to provide hope, in the form of food and other practical resources, for children living in the Orphanage Africa Home of Children in Ayenyah, Ghana. All donations for this project are welcome and can be sent to:

Back in 2004, for its first charity event, Sewa Beats brought together 350 participants for a gigantic African percussion workshop and raised 10,000 Swiss francs (6,000 euros) at the Geneva Palladium for Terre des Hommes, Switzerland, as part of a project providing medical, nutritional and educational support for children in Burkina Faso.

Sewa Beats' team members will travel in to these events from far and wide, from the UK, Spain, Switzerland or Burkina Faso. Under their expert direction, even total beginners can quickly and easily get into the beat and really enjoy the drumming adventure. These kind of events are ideal fund-raisers. They have been so successful, with demand increasing at such a rate, that sponsors and collaborators agree to support and organise further events in Switzerland and Spain.

We will keep you posted about new events. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact us for further information about what we do and how you can help at: info@sewabeats.com.
